Dreams of love

Choose love. So simple, yet so hard. We face opportunities every moment to make choices, and still one of the hardest choices to make is love.

Why is it hard to choose love? Well there are many reasons, but deep down fear ties it all together. We fear we don’t deserve it, we fear we aren’t capable of giving it, we fear someone or something will take it away, we fear we have lost it forever. We FEAR. We choose fear without realizing it.

So how do we choose love without choosing fear? There are many ways to heal these wounds, however I want to focus on shifting perspective.

When you need to see better, you get glasses. When it’s too dark you find light. When you can’t see the full picture, you position yourself to see the full perspective. Why would love be any different?

Sometimes all we need to do is make room for us to explore the darkness and fears in our hearts, so that we can find the light.

When I allow myself to be more than my feeling and experiences, I am no longer ashamed to fear them. Fear then becomes a fleeting experience that I welcome, feel, comfort, soothe and release. I am able to see myself with love, and extend it to myself. When I realize that darkness is the shadow of light, I can remember I am a source of light & love.

Fear convinces us that our light is broken, lost, permanently shut down. Fear convinces us that just because we experience periods of darkness, we can no longer see light. Fear convinces us that love & light are things we must find outside of ourselves when they also exist within. Darkness doesn’t mean we can no longer see, it means we must change the lens through which we see.

Love overcomes all fear. Love sees what the world doesn’t always see. Love exists within and also seeps through the cracks, windows and shades like light. Love is our light. It washes away darkness. To choose love is to choose light. To choose love is to choose YOU.

Dreams allow us to use a different lens to see what’s possible instead of what is. So dream new dreams of love. See the divine light and love you have within, regardless of what darkness has shown you.
